The Ferryman

Drowned in his own dry boat at the Dun Dwym crossing

Found as a great wet stain in the middle of his own boat at the Dun Dwym crossing — drowned, with no sign of ever having been in the river. Everything on that bank was soaked, more than it should have been.

Drowned on dry timber, under a mist that had come upriver against the current. Was he taken because he was the ferryman, or only because he was first?
