The Woman Beneath the Willow
An old woman of the Eastern Wet, looking for her grandchildren
She came out from a weeping willow in layers of loose-spun wool and asked after their road and their news. Her grandchildren have gone missing and she is out looking; would these young heroes find them for her? They were already burdened with purpose, and said so with regret. None of them can quite recall her now.
Whose grandchildren, and why does the memory of her slide away?
